Plein Air Workshop

Muckross State Park, Springfield,VT

Spend a day painting with plein air artist, David Gordon at beautiful Muckross State Park in Springfield, VT.

We will discuss basics of value, color and composition in a way that will encourage you to work intuitively and spontaneously based on direct observation. David will check in with students as they paint throughout the day.

Kelly Stettner, Founder and Director of the all-volunteer Black River Action Team, will share her knowledge of the pond and property.

David is primarily an oil painter and has experience with watercolor. Principles discussed will apply to all mediums.

You will need your own supplies and a portable easel is highly recommended.

The gate will be open at the beginning and end of the workshop in case you need to drive your supplies closer to where you paint.
